My name is Alexandra Simpson and my passion is making music. I lead the viola sections of two orchestras, San Francisco Symphony Youth Orchestra and San Domenico Virtuoso Program Orchestra da Camera. This summer, I will be attending the prestigious chamber music summer intensive program, Yellow Barn in Putney, Vermont, and in the fall I will begin my college life at The New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, Massachusetts in the studio of the world-renowned Kim Kashkashian. I love being a part of Children in Need because it brings together two things I love: providing aid to people around the world and performing for the elderly (they're generally the best audience in the world)!
