About Me

I am a member of the Virtuoso Program in the San Domenico School as a violinist. I started the violin at 5 1/2, following the piano, cello, and viola. On my violin journey, I've taken private lessons and studied with Yuri Cho and Keniko Okumura Barbini in the SF Conservatory of Music. I've played with the Young Performers Orchestra and Diablo Regional Youth Orchestra in Walnut Creek, the Berkley Youth Orchestra and Young Performers Chamber Orchestra in Berkley, Solano Symphony in Vallejo (as the youngest member to join in their history of professional musicians conducted by Maestro Semyon Lohss), Napa Youth Symphony in Napa, and the Marin Symphony Youth Orchestra in Marin during my earlier years of music. I have received several awards and recognitions including the Junior Bach of Northern California competition in 2010, the Young Artist Music Festival, the International Music Festival in Los Angeles, and the Music Legacy Summer Festival. Now that I have grown stronger as a musician, staying with the conductor for the Young Performers Orchestra, Diablo Regional Youth Orchestra, and Young Performers Chamber Orchestra, I have become a coach/mentor instead of a member. All year round, I coach/mentor the young musicians in the YPCO on Saturday mornings from 9am-12pm in Berkley. During summer, with the time that I have, I continue as a coach/mentor for the YPO and DRYO in Walnut Creek on Tuesday nights from 5pm-9pm. My intension for these kids are to understand music beyond just reading notes on paper. I want them to go past their potential, because I know they can do it with dedication, focus, and passion.
